Eichelberger Farms have completed the construction of WACO's new FFA Agricultural Center, allowing students to move in for the completion of the school year.

The WACO FFA chapter is celebrating a major accomplishment as students begin using the brand‑new Eichelberger Farms Agri‑Science Center on the WACO High School campus for the remainder of the school year. After breaking ground in the spring of 2025, the facility was completed and opened in early 2026, giving WACO’s thriving agricultural education program an innovative space designed specifically for hands‑on learning. Thanks to generous support from community partners like Eichelberger Farms and a $115,000 grant from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation, students now have access to two modern classrooms, a fully equipped greenhouse, two locker rooms, a kitchen area, and specialized spaces for animal science—including dedicated rooms for rabbits, poultry, swine, and pens for larger animals. A conference room further enhances learning by hosting guest speakers and community experts who help deepen students’ real‑world understanding of agriculture.
This new agricultural center represents more than just a building—it’s a catalyst for expanded educational opportunities within the WACO FFA and agriculture program. Established just a few years ago in 2021, the chapter has rapidly grown and enriched students’ experiences through classroom instruction, Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs), and active National FFA Organization involvement. With the addition of the Agri‑Science Center, learners can now engage hands‑on with plant and animal science projects, develop leadership skills, and participate in expanded career‑focused coursework that prepares them for future pursuits in agriculture and related fields. The facility’s completion marks a significant step forward in empowering students to grow, lead, and succeed both in and out of the classroom.

The WACO FFA chapter is excited for the arrival of this new building, and at the opportunities that come with it.
