Eichelberger Farms plans to start construction in the spring of 2025 on the new Agricultural Science Center on the WACO High School Campus

The new building will consist of two classrooms, two locker rooms, a kitchen, specialized rooms for poultry, swine, rabbits, and other large animals, as well as a greenhouse. There will also be a conference room, allowing students to benefit from guest speakers, and allow them to hear volunteer advice about FFA contests and competitions.
The goal of the new building is to give students hands on learning experiences with work related activities. The greenhouse and animals will create a sense of responsibility for students as well.
Our chapter offers students three main ways to engage in agriculture- Classroom instruction, National FFA Organization, Supervised AG experience (SAE). The classroom classes consist of plant science, AG constructions/mechanics, and small/large animal science. The SAE experiences consist of types of independent study type jobs, further pursuing an agricultural project. The new building will allow these ways of learning to be expanded and participated in further.
Eichelberger Farms as well as the surrounding community realizes the importance as well as significance a building like this can bring to the students, and is excited to see it built.

Secretary of Iowa Agriculture Mike Naig pays a visit to have an informal discussion with our FFA Officer team. Discussing the new agriculture facility as well as other current and upcoming events of the chapter.
